As a girl I remember wishing I could see what my mom looked like when she got married. The photographer took the money and ran. That was back in the 70's. We hired a woman who was advertising on craigslist and was trying to get her wedding photography business started -- she only charged us $300 for 3 hrs (and the photos she took are amazing). Our first anniversary is on the 29th and because they insist on doing an album for us, and because one of them has too much going on in his life to have ordered the album paper yet, we still do not have a wedding album. <br /><br />I have paid upwards of $100.00 to get prints from family members made up to frame around the house and to put into Christmas cards. </p><br /><br /><p>Your idea to stick with photos taken casually by family and friends sounds like the way to go!</p> Friends of mine that I’ve known for 18 years did our wedding photos for $750.
