I think doctors should PRESCRIBE lazy days at home, like, on a regular basis. Sometimes, I used to call in well to work. “I just feel way too good to come in today.” And then I’d spend the day doing (or not doing) whatever what I wanted. If you can get over the feelings of guilt (they’re not your voice – they’re society’s voice squatting inside your head – kick them out girl!), it is tremendously healing to the soul. Good for you. I’m jealous.

Days filled with sleeping, movies, and reading are not unproductive. They are good for the spirit. (As long as they do not occur EVERY day, in which case you are just lazy.)
