Getting a little worried about your soon-to-be former job. A job isn't worth getting depressed over because it may be gone tomorrow or another on the way. I spent nearly two years less than gainfully employed in the worst economy in NYC since the beginning of time. I got ripped off by creepy clients, jumped through a million hoops, knocked on doors, accumulated debt, kicked myself over and over for mouthing off to "new" boss at old job who ended up getting canned six months after she canned me. Finally, something came through. It's only half-time at a great rate with a lot of potential for additional income in freelance. They wanted to hire me full=time but didn't have the budget yet. So, I've got 5-6 months of contractor work that will buy me time to decide whether I like it or not in a better economy. Or I could find another PT opportunity doing something different that I love to balance this one and carry on like that. So, things are definitely on the up all over. But I'm going to have the best summer ever because I'm going to have a lot of freedom to enjoy it and still pay the rent. Woo hoo!</p> Congrats on the job.
