You can make a martini with vodka but why, oh why, would you want to?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;My favorite gin is Hendrick&#039;s.  A Hendrick&#039;s martini, garnished with a rose petal or a thin slice of cucumber, is wonderful.  Second favorite gin is Bombay Sapphire.  I haven&#039;t tried the onion but love a lemon twist or olive - preferably blue cheese stuffed (by hand, that day, because the oil soaked ones are nasty).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&#039;ve vented about the whatever-tinis in May 2006 on my blog.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;Love your list.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
