I was friends with Mike back in high school and just heard today from a mutual friend that he had passed away. I was touched to find this site and hear that Mike had not changed one bit since I last heard from him. I loved Mike as a true friend and we have so few of those in life. I thought often of him and missed his friendship. I don't know what a blogger is but I hope to find out and read whatever was in his thoughts the last few years and cherish them as much as I cherished him. From love and the "crappy puke green pinto memories" Sarah

I didn't know the man, Fish. Based on what I've read, he sounds like a helluva human being. So sorry you lost your friend.

Island Girl, the medical examiner is still unsure, but his father told me that they believe it was sudden and that he did not suffer. That's all we need to know.

I am posting this here because out of all his internet friends, Heather's site is probably the most widely read.

Heather and everyone, thank you for your kind words about Mike. He was my very close friend and he will be greatly missed. He touched a lot of people in a lot of ways.

There is information regarding his funeral arrangements in the comments of his last post. If you would like to make a gesture to his family, I would suggest a donation in his name in lieu of flowers or cards. That would be the way that the Mike I knew and loved would have wanted it.

Thank you to all of you for nice emails and comments to those of us who were very close to Mike. I know we all appreciate it.
