I KNOW they are good books - not *only* because I picked them (because that *is* a legitimate reason) - but because they usually *say so* on them somewhere. But I have MOJO when it comes to picking books - I'm an expert at the "no-looking" pick (never read it except the back blurb or the title) - that's how I found Susan Westenhoffer -no, Susan Wienberger - no,...OH you know! the woman who wrote the book about the Bible and the Summer and --KINGSOLVER! Barbara Kingsolver - that's who I mean. See? I'm damn good. Dammit.
