heat

Reluctant Kitten is in heat, and once again, my apartment is without heat.

Glorious.

Both mewling kitten and frigid air made for v. uncomfortable night's sleep but surprisingly, woke up with peppy attitude. And amazing hair. While spending some quality time in Miss Goes Down's shower, became acquainted with delightful new hair products. Have added them to list of current addictions that am suffering from.

Vanilla Diet Coke
Broccoli
Eucalyptus & Spearmint bath salt
Bad Reality Television
Pink (the color, not the trashed out singer)
Matrix Sleek Look Smoothing Hair Products

Have been researching support groups, but curiously, are no Product Whores Anonymous meetings anywhere nearby.

Bob Barker sez: spay or neuter your pet!

Hair tip: The T-bone simply washes his hair in leftover beer for that sheen only barley and hops can provide.

I will get her fixed... she's just had health problems and I've had financial issues... and well, she just grew up too fast!
Beer is actually great for hair... when I lived in Spain, it was the cheapest conditioner you could buy!

Broccoli and Pink ? I platonically love you.

Posted by: snarky at March 20, 2003 11:19 AM

Mmmm... you must tell me where to find the Eucalyptus & Spearmint bath salt. Sounds yummy. I, too, have a terrible habit of dulling brain activity with bad reality TV.

I believe in this day and age one has a responsibility of spaying/nuetering your pet. Don't de-claw though that's just cruel.

Posted by: hubs at March 20, 2003 12:21 PM

Vanilla Diet Coke is the shizzy!

I used to wash my hair in beer as kid; the better to poach a swig or two under the guise of "hair care."

Posted by: Darling Girl at March 20, 2003 12:26 PM

not to get defensive or anything, Hubs... but did I not just say I planned on getting her fixed? As she is just a kitten, and her age is unknown, and she was too sick to do so when I found her, it hasn't been possible yet.

Posted by: Fish at March 20, 2003 12:48 PM

Can't you just muzzle the cat (not cruelly, of course, maybe just some peanut butter to keep her busy) and snuggle with her in bed to keep warm? 'Cause she's "in heat!" HAR HAR (ok, sorry)

What I REALLY want to know is A: when did you live in Spain? and B: which Bad Reality Television show are you addicted to (or are their multiple culprits)?

Posted by: Michael at March 20, 2003 01:01 PM

Shit! "there"! GodDAMN I hate misspelling.

Posted by: Michael at March 20, 2003 01:17 PM

happy it's the color, instead of the trashy, annoying singer with a big bag of nothing.

Posted by: Indigo Steve at March 20, 2003 01:42 PM

The line, "Pink (the color, not the trashed out singer)", really tickles me.
And, cruciferous vegetables rock.

Posted by: shelley at March 20, 2003 01:55 PM

Ya know, Stoli Vanilla and regular Diet Coke taste just the same, only better.

Posted by: D'Lish at March 20, 2003 02:34 PM

One of these things is not like the other...and that thing is broccoli. Now, there's nothing inherently wrong with the vegetable (love that Vitamin C) but it's not as fun as the other things (at least those which I know about.)

Bad Reality TV...RULES. Yes, I do include Married By America.

Posted by: greebs at March 20, 2003 02:34 PM

i esp. like the eucalyptus & spearmint sugar scrub ... you gotta try it.

Posted by: shannon at March 20, 2003 02:56 PM

Race you for the last Vanilla Diet Coke!

Posted by: Bob at March 21, 2003 12:37 AM

that could get really ugly, bob.

Doesn't Diet Coke w. Lemon get any love??

Posted by: Ari at March 21, 2003 09:54 AM

I'm with ya on this one Ari. How about some respect for the Lemon-y goodness?

Posted by: kelly at March 21, 2003 10:37 AM

Diet Coke with lemon is one of the vilest things that has ever passed my lips.

Two more things:

1) Pink? I guess that I did ok with the color scheme.
2) Quality time in the shower? What kind... oh, nevermind.

Posted by: Frankenstein at March 21, 2003 12:00 PM

Yeah, funny Frankenstein. "quality time in miss goes down's shower". if your not a regular around here this could get awfully confusing (and titilating)

Posted by: hubs at March 21, 2003 12:36 PM

Ari lives in an apartment with the WORLD'S BEST water pressure. Taking a shower in that apartment will spoil anyone for the rest of his/her life.

Oh and to Michael:

A) I lived in Madrid,Spain for two summers during college. The first to get my feet wet in the language, and the second to write my thesis.

B) anything but Married By America. I find that show to be VILE.
