weary

This not sleeping bit is becoming an issue.

Even with cute little blue pill, did not sleep more than an hour or so at a time without waking to attention-seeking mewling kitten or sleep disturbing silence. Greuling work-out didn't help, nor did warm tea or hot shower. Drooping bags under eyes could hold entire wardrobe, complete with shoes. And am in possession of A LOT of shoes. Am feeling crabby constantly now. Not to mention suffering from random cold chills. Am feeling quite weary. Must sleep.

Apartment-wide tension has not eased, either. Lots of closed doors and big silences. Am aware that it is own fault, to some extent, but am not exactly sure how to go about making repairs.

If silence is a problem, maybe you can get one of those noise-making machines. Or turn on a fan - just point it in some other direction. My brother slept with a fan for years, 365 days each. Other ideas are humidifiers and dehumidifiers.

One of my roommates did that too, had a fan on all the time. She had it pointed right at her face. She slept pretty good.

Maybe you just need a GI Jane to snuggle with.

i'm stumped on the sleep issue, too. i was up at 3:30 ordering stuff from drugstore.com like mr. bubble and overpriced shampoo, trying to hit the 50 buck level so i could get free shipping. now it's 7:45 and my eyes are crusted over like i've just coated myself with honey and walked through a sandstorm. have also had ups and downs with roomies, and know that an uncomfy home even temporarily is not nice. it will either blow over, or get to the point when one of you will say "hey, let's talk". i'm sure it's not helping your sleep at night, either. *hugs* fish... i hope you have a restful weekend!

I go through periods when I don't sleep well for weeks. Never figured out why or what brings it on. It's not too much or too little stress. Doesn't appear to be anything I've eaten. Not to be blamed solely on the stupid barking dog next door.

Does eventually go away.

I sleep with the fan on every single night. It is impossible for me to fall asleep without one blasting. But getting INTO this routine is somewhat difficult. Paul hates the fan and has a very hard time falling asleep with it on and he's been sleeping with me for years. Still not used to it. Maybe Get into smoking pot before bed...that'll knock your ass out. ;)
Good luck with the apartment tension baby. It will work itself out one way or another. And just so you know...that ridiculousness on your comments the other day was totally unwarranted. Only you should judge YOU on aspects of your life.
Have an amazing time with ARI and GI this weekend. Will miss you!

I sleep with either a fan or talk radio on. The monotonous noise really makes me fall asleep. Of course, it is damn near impossible if something is on your mind. Did you try counting sheep?

You don't have to worry about sleeping tomorrow night...I need someone to keep me awake until 5 am when I turn into a chauffer.

Do you have a tv in your room? Having some random tv on in the background usually keeps just enough of my attention so I don't mull over everything from the day or week or, well, you know.

It's this cruel phenomenon... sleep-deprevation induced insomnia. It's like your body's so used to running on fumes that it forgets how to sleep properly. It's awful.

Have a great time this weekend! Take pictures! =)

Poor Fish! I must be really bad if the little blue pill doesn't help.

I know this is a no advice zone, but melatonin helps. Honest!

Good luck witht he sleep...
