on my quiet street

It sounded like ice being poured into the kitchen sink. But it wasn't. It was really the front-door glass shattering and falling to the floor, from a shot fired into my house.

Four shots, four shattered windows and shards of glass all over my living room furniture. The police have come and gone and now I'm wide awake at 5:00 wondering what the hell just happened.

Good lord. So glad you weren't hurt. Surely a case of mistaken identity??

What the hell did happen??

OMG! Glad to hear you're okay!

Yes, thanks, I wasn't hurt. Well, unless you count pulling glass out of my bare feet because I was too stunned to think properly before walking into my living room.
I'm a bit shaky, though... kinda sick to my stomach and scared. My roommate travels a lot and so the idea of being home is a little frightening.
It's just... so bizarre. I live a quiet life, on a quiet street, in a house with a white picket fence. Why does anyone want to shoot at my house?!

Yikes! Run for the mountains!

How frightening! Thank 'Whomever' you are all right!

I'm so sorry that happened to you.

Yikes! So alarming! Hang in there. And keep us posted on what the explanation might be....

Probably jealous bloggers who can't write as well.

Glad you're ok.

Or it could be Princess Amidala, getting back for some snarky comments made months ago. Celebrities aren't above that shit, you know.

Hi,
I hope you're feeling better after that horrible incident. Any news yet from the police?

Posted by: Jenn at November 17, 2003 12:59 PM

Yikes! Was this.. aimed at you specifically?

Posted by: jennn at November 17, 2003 01:07 PM

Posted by: Diana at November 17, 2003 02:33 PM

holy shit!!!!
i hope everything turns out to be a big mistake. hang in there.

Was it kids? Yikes. Houses need force fields and personalities to terrorize back like the one in He, She and It. Well the house didn't terrorize but it gave its inhabitants warnings and said hello and how are you and things like that. Do you have an alarm system? Block watch? Bastard vandals. Get a large mean dog.

wow - so sorry, fish. That must have been horrible.

Goodness! I'm glad to hear there were no injuries..this is certainly enough to make RK more than a little more R.

you take care of yourself pretty lady - I hope they catch the idiots that did it.
