For someone who’s written maybe once a month since shipping off to Cuba, the Fireman has been Mr. Communicative lately. Four, sometimes more emails a week for the past few weeks. And mind you, we never had that much to say to each other.
Silly, silly transparent boy. He’s hedging his bets!
He’ll be on leave here next week and is trying to secure a little somethin’-somethin’ in advance. I just laugh and shake my head. Because what’s most amusing is how not tempted I feel about it. Yeah, he’s cute alright, and will probably come back all tanned from the tropical sun. And two weeks ago it sounded like a fine time. Getting sent off with a bang. Or two. Or three. You get the idea.
But now it just seems sorta pointless and something of a hassle.
Is that the moving stress talking?

I think it’s your brain trying to tell you something.
ugh. so unattractive (the pre-planning). mine was a soccer coach who did the same thing. was i tempted? yes, but it was so much more of a hassle than it was worth.
ick. No style points for that one.
Amazing but true – you can have too much of a good thing. Sport sex is only good for a limited amount of time.
Given the choice between:
a) getting laid
b) not getting laid
You gotta go with the former. Seems a no-brainer to me
Sometimes meaningless sex is too meaningless.
and sometimes it not.
Word, Arthur.
Pre-planned meaningless sex just gets ridiculous.
On the one hand, packing and moving is incredibly time-consuming and stressful and just plain hard work.
On the other hand, a bang to relieve the stress could be just what the doctor ordered.
pre-planned; yes i agree, will most of the time not have any worth to it at all.
if this were more spontaneous though, i would say go for it. you can’t take all the excitement out of it otherwise it ends up feeling like a doctors appointment you scheduled weeks in advance.
sex can be a great “moving stress” reducer, if it isn’t a pre-planned encounter…
Pre-planned meaningless sex, eh – not so fun. I’d pass.
Where’s the spontaneity?!?
The Living Hand is a bloke, isn’t he?
