You know me. When it comes to politics, I tend to stay pretty mum. But I will say this much: as Obama was Sir Hal’s candidate, there was quite a bit of excitement going on in this apartment last night. What was that Hal? Yes, yes we did. Don’t get him started on Proposition 8, though. He’s still got his hackles up about that one.
I was just about to start in on The Blind Date Thing, but lo, the apartment folks are here to do a property inspection and I feel a little weird about sitting around, sans proper foundation garment (ahem) while they study baseboards and window sills. So, as the kids say, BRB. I’m gonna take a walk. The tale of excitement continues upon my return.
Stop teasing. I’m at my deadend temp job and I need my fix of vicarious living through your life. Appropriate undergarments be damned! Just…one…more…blog…. post.
I can quit anytime, I swear.
Argh. Come back!
My lesbo-kitty is pretty sad about Prop 8 too…
Being the Obama fan that he is, I guess that makes Sir Hal a “DemoCAT”?
Yes, Obama was my ferret’s candidate also. And since my ferret likes other boy ferrets, he’s also really disappointed. Of course, he’s a Canadian ferret, so his opinion didn’t matter much yesterday. He is, however, very proud and happy for his American ferret friends.
Yes, the Democrats of Texas may not have helped with the electoral votes… BUT we are still darned PROUD to have elected the best man for the job. WOO HOO! I am still in a state of wonder… hard to believe it really happened and wasn’t a tight race in the electoral vote count.
As a Californian, I have to say that I am devasted by our inability to understand that ALL relationships deserve equal status. I can only hope that someday soon we realize how wrong this Constitutional Ammendment was…
Was totally hoping we Californians could band together enough not to pass 8, but lo … evidently not. I didn’t think the election meant that much to me because, well, it’s politics and politics suck. But my heavy heart has been lifted with the turn of events last night regarding our new President Elect.
Wait, so you won’t sit in your living room with building inspectors without undergarments, but you will go for a walk without them…hmmmm. I guess your neighbors got a bit of a show today.
Oh come on! I’m dying here. I’ve been wondering how it went for several days already!
…So wonderful to see that “Sir Hal” and I share the same politics…AND: I wish you all the best in both your personal & professional lives…
I, too, am currently unemployed — almost 6 months now — and I am kind of freaking out. In fact, I have been so focused on job hunting, it had been quite some time (unusual for me) since I had stopped to enjoy your blog…I was sorry to read of your layoff when I finally “caught up.”
Here’s hoping for us both!
that’s one long walk fish
