not in the good way, either

Funny how losing one post-it note makes your whole career flash before your eyes.

I am officially fucked.

*** updated ***

post-it found. nothin' like a good over-reactin' to get the morning going on a good note.

Check on the bottom of the last legal pad you used. That's where I found the one who's loss nearly gave me an embolism.

It sucks to lose your best jokes. Oh wait …

I lost my graduation tickets last night in my recycling. A once of a lifetime opportunity nearly missed....

GAH. you found them though, right?!
Congrats, by the way :)

Seriously, Paul, I'm so off today, I could just sit on my office floor and cry. Where do days like this come from?

A teacher in school always blamed it on biorhythms. I tend to agree with him. It's better than assuming that God/the gods are against you.

Well, look at the bright side: Your heart probably has been racing so fast you have no need to hit the gym today. Not, to judge from the pictures, that you ever have had ANY need to hit the gym. I'm just sayin'.

I had to stop using post-it notes as reminders. I had a boss who hated them and would remove random ones from my desk. Now I just have 10-12 legal pads half full of stuff.

Paul

But what if the God's are against you?

Wait, Mr. Gutman is graduating in 3 hours (well, 55 min now) and he's leaving comments on Fish? Now that's a good friend.

post-it notes lose their meaning for me the second i write on them. it's pretty much the act of writing that makes a difference. i make lists like there's no tomorrow, but i rarely ever look back at them. and there are too many stickies stuck EVERYWHERE - i'm numb to them.

i'm glad you found yours, though.

I wonder if anyone's ever been canned on a post-it..

Paul IS a great friend as a matter of fact.

"funny, but... creepy."

Play nice, or you're out of the will.

if i thought i was officially fucked i think i would have fixed the problem before i blogged about it.

Aw, Hubs. There you go being so practical. In theory, yeah, taking 47 seconds to post about it may have slowed my progres. But, I run a tight ship at work... if it's not on my desk in a labeled folder, it basically doesn't exist. I left a few messages, sent a few emails, and voila:
The note was in my boss's office.

Posted by: Fish at May 18, 2004 08:06 PM

This happened to me a few years ago. Since then i e-mail everything to myself. If I make a note, i just pop it an e-mail and press send.. That way, there's a copy on the server, on the laptop, and if you wish to, just print the damn thing for a hard copy. Saved my ass more than once..

haha "if it's not on my desk in a labeled folder, it basically doesn't exist" or unless it's a postit note of course. my practicality is always getting in the way.
