looking forward

Right now, I am so frustrated I can barely blink. I am hanging on to my sanity by the thin thread that is my weekend plans. I’m telling you right now that if the Universe (or any of its inhabitants) fucks with the following in any way, there will be untold suffering. Yes, I will cut you.

On Saturday evening, all of our old pals from Boston will be coming to celebrate C’s birthday. This is very much needed. Not only do I miss them all terribly, but I’m in great need of that thing that happens inside you the moment you walk into a bar and get Normed. You know, like in Cheers. Norm! (Only, in my case, it’ll probably be Heather!) All I know is I need some of that familiarity and ease, and a couple of lemon drop shots.

On Sunday afternoon, Biscuit and I are going to indulge in rich hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows and wander around the Frick being in love with Fragonard and El Greco and Bellini. This is also very much needed -- the chocolate, the art, and some quality time with my platonic husband.

And on Monday afternoon, Sarah and I are going to do things we will not blog about.

Until then, I will continue staring at my computer screen, not blinking, and begging the Universe to please, for fuck's sake, refrain from interfering with my happiness. At least for the weekend.

Apparently we're having the same sort of "kill me now" kind of week - ugh.

Fish, while my life resembles yours in absolutely no way at all (stuck in the hell hole that is texas and a housewife) I feel for you incredibly right now. That please for the love of god just let me have SOME time to forget about all the crap... Yeah. I'll cross my fingers for you and hope nothing comes along to screw up your weekend plans :) Have a few shots for me too please :)

If you don't blog about them, can you at least video-tape them?

Even though I am at a job that does not recognize this coming Monday as a holiday. I send you good vibes for your weekend. Do a lemon shot for me, my saturday revolves around wedding plans...then drinking.

Fish--like Christie (really, like Christie, I'm also a Texas housewife) my life is nothing like yours. But once, it was. I lived in Manhattan for a year of my life in my early 20's. You're a little older and by the time I was your age I had taken my toys and G-back-TT.

life is rough at this moment, but it'll get better. I hope your chocolate this weekend is beyond yummy, the art restorative and that the fun you and sarah have is beyond bloggable! And for your sake as well as my own, I hope that 2005 realizes it better whip itself into shape before bikini season gets here. So far this year has been a big pain in the tuckus!

To the passage of time that gets us to the moments worth savoring! Oh, I remember lemon drops!

what is up with this freakin' week! Will it end already? Have a good weekend and may all your plans happen!

I just stepped in completely wet cement with new shoes on, as three construction workers quietly watched.

Ditto on the bad week.

Yeah, what's up with this week?? Everything just seems to be snowballing out of control for everyone I know. I'm having to cling to my chair to keep from just flying off the face of the earth. Almost time to commence breakdown. I swear the next thing that gets between me and my weekend will DIE.

I'm so not kidding.

this sentence is so... revealing. "And on Monday afternoon, Sarah and I are going to do things we will not blog about. "

also, you will totally blog about it and you know it.
